WHO PHARMACOVIGILANCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAME



WHO-CC Internship Program & Policy

The WHO Collaborating Center, Accra Ghana is offering internship placements for a period of two weeks. The internship program is aimed at giving interested persons an understanding of pharmacovigilance [PV] and how the WHO PV program operates. Placements for the internship are subject to availability.

Target audience – Persons working in pharmacovigilance and those interested in pharmacovigilance from all settings – industry, academia, hospital and regulators.

Duration – The internship is for a period of two [2] weeks. 

Offer –
  1. Basic introduction to pharmacovigilance
  2. Hands on experience in pharmacovigilance
  3. Special modules on pharmacovigilance [upon request and availability]
Internship Policy; Terms of reference –
  1. WHO-CC internships are not paid. Neither does WHO-CC charge for internship placements
  2. Travel costs, travel arrangements (including visas), and living accommodations are the sole responsibility of the intern or their sponsoring institution.
  3. WHO-CC however can assist interns on acquiring and securing accommodation and will provide letters to assist with visa acquisition.
  4. Interns may participate only once in the WHO-CC Internship Programme.
